man-consultation-dialogue | buried penis | penile enhancement surgery

If you're like most men, you probably take great pride in your penis and everything that it represents. Whether you're well-endowed or not, having a healthy and functioning penis is important to your self-esteem and overall sexual satisfaction.

Unfortunately, sometimes things can go wrong with this vital organ, leading to conditions like buried penis syndrome.

If you're experiencing symptoms of buried penis syndrome, don't worry – help is available. Penile enhancement surgeries are a common solution for this condition and can provide dramatic results. Keep reading to learn more about penile enhancement surgery, including how it works and what to expect from the procedure.

In this segment, Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee answer a listener's question about his buried penis.

Penile Enhancement Surgery

Most men are familiar with the penis. It is, after all, a key part of the male anatomy. However, there are a few things about the penis that many men don't know.

For example, did you know that the penis can be buried?

This is a condition in which the penis is hidden underneath the skin of the abdomen. While this may not sound like a big deal, it can lead to some serious health problems.

Penile Enhancement Surgeries

Dr. Mistry explains that in addition to the many cosmetic reasons men seek out penile enhancement surgeries, there are also serious functional impairments that can be helped through such interventions.

YOUR EXISTING AD GOES HERE

Although nothing can make your penis any longer than it actually is, much can be done to “unbury” the length you already have.

Weight loss on its own can produce as much as an inch in penile length for every 30 pounds lost! Excess weight can “bury” the penis under the fat pad that sits above it.

This pad–the mons pubis–can be surgically reduced in one of our most popular enhancement surgeries and can also help those struggling to urinate or have intercourse due to a buried penis.

Inflatable Penile Prosthesis

Many patients with a buried penis, as well as those with spinal cord injuries, benefit greatly from an inflatable penile prosthesis. This device is completely concealed and can be inflated to create a robust erection.

Importantly, while Dr. Mistry says that there is generally no loss of sensation due to the addition of a penile prosthesis and other penile enhancement surgeries, the feeling of sensation can shift for some patients, especially those requiring skin grafts.

As always, the Armor Men’s Health Hour provides listeners with the latest and greatest in urology care. This episode is full of laughs and information as they discussed the buried penis and penile enhancement surgeries and weight loss as ways to reduce the risk of a buried penis. It is important to consult with a urologist you trust prior to any surgical interventions.
